Faith Community is the Body of Christ, gathered in Summerlin, and sent back out to be the church in Las Vegas, the US and to the ends of the earth. Our work is done holistically as we offer His hope through evangelism and social needs. Your purchase of coffee is an effective way to partner with that work. Here are just a few of the blessings your coffee purchase will bring about: education to a destitute child in Liberia, shelter to a homeless family in Las Vegas, recovery to a lady in addiction in Las Vegas, an abortion alternative for a pregnant couple in crisis, support from a natural disaster, an offering of Jesus’ peace and hope regardless of the trials and worries of this life. | Trade Type | Most of our coffees are purchased from OLAM Specialty Importers based in Healdsburg California. Our only coffee that is sourced from a FairTrade certified farm is our coffee from Huehuetenango Guatemala. We consider Direct Trade the most responsible way to source coffee, which we do with most of our Brazilian coffees, and believe Rainforest Alliance to be superior ethically to Fair Trade and Organic coffee certifications because of its more well-rounded approach to social and environmental ethical practices. |
